Police officers are investigating reports a man touched himself in front of a woman walking her dog at an Ilfracombe churchyard.
It is alleged the suspect then made an abusive and threatening comment to the victim, aged in her 60s, when she challenged his behaviour.
Enquiries are ongoing into the incident, which happened outside Holy Trinity Church, in Church Street, between 12.20pm and 12.30pm on Sunday (September 14).
The suspect, who was seen touching himself under his clothing, is described as a white male, around 40-years-old and six foott to six foot two inches tall.
He had long dark curly hair and was wearing a black jacket, black trousers and black boots along with a distinctive large, dark silver belt buckle.
Police are appealing for any information which might help identify the man, as well as any relevant CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage from the area at the time.
