Affinity Devon took part in the great Bear Hunt with 2023 chosen charity Children's Hospice South West.

Shopping centre Affinity Devon is urging people to submit their applications for its next chosen charity of the year.

The centre is now accepting applicants for its Charity of the Year for 2024 as its 2023 partnership with Children’s Hospice South West comes to a close.

The chosen charity will be able to use the shopping centre throughout the year for any fundraising events and initiatives and benefit from donations both in stores and from various free events during key periods such as summer and Christmas.

The new charity partnership will begin on January 1, 2024 and will last for the full calendar year.

Marketing and retail liaison manager Nicola Jeffery said: “It has been an honour to support Children’s Hospice South West this year and we are delighted to be able to provide the same opportunity to another fantastic local charity for 2024.

“We will give all local charities - big and small - the opportunity to be considered.”

During the partnership, Affinity Devon and Children’s Hospice South West have worked together on several initiatives and events including the hugely popular Bear Hunt, various seasonal crafting sessions and hosting alpacas for a day.

The centre also provided the charity with a vacant unit, in which it was able to create an eye-catching and informative display detailing the objectives and achievements of the hospice, which works to support children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

If you work directly for a worthy local charity that would like Affinity Devon’s support over the next year, you can download an application form from the Affinity Devon website and send it to devon@affinityoutlets.com.

Alternatively, you can collect a form from the Centre Management Office at the centre near Bideford.

Please submit applications by 5pm on November 30. Affinity Devon regrets that applications cannot be accepted from individuals who do not work for the charity directly.
