IT was the people versus Ping and Pong at Ping Pong yesterday (Friday) at the Queen’s Theatre in Barnstaple as the Aladdin panto stars took to the table tennis table.

Lunchtime merriment in the theatre foyer saw Sgt Ping aka Lisa Hanson and PC Pong, North Devon’s Merlin, challenge theatre staff, the public, Widow Twankey and possibly even passing street sweepers for the honour of crossing paddles with them over the ping-pong net.
