People in Devon are being warned to prepare for potential flooding and travel disruption as a yellow weather warning for rain is issued.
The Met Office alert, which begins at 6am on Wednesday (February 18) and runs until 8am on Thursday (February 19), covers the entire county.
Forecasters have warned that the heaviest downpours are expected over Dartmoor, where up to 50mm of rain could fall in a 24-hour period.
Across the rest of the county, 10-20mm is expected widely, with coastal areas likely to see up to 30mm.
The rain will be accompanied by strong east to northeasterly winds, which the Met Office says could "exacerbate impacts" across the region.
Drivers are being urged to take extra care on the M5 and A38, with spray and surface flooding likely to make journey times longer.
Flooding: A few homes and businesses could face flooding as saturated ground struggles to absorb the new rainfall.
Travel: Delays to bus and train services are "probable" throughout Wednesday and Thursday morning.
Power: Some short-term interruptions to power supplies and other local services are possible.
Coastal Risks: Large waves are expected to affect east-facing coasts, with people advised to stay back from sea walls and cliff edges.
