Backed by the NHS, the national campaign was launched last year by Angela Rippon, former Strictly judge Dame Arlene Phillips and a host of stars from Strictly Come Dancing to encourage the nation to join the Let’s Dance national dance day.

The Dancing Feet Academy is also encouraging its current students to bring a friend to attend a class with them. Those that bring a friend will be entered into a big prize draw with the chance for the student and friend to win half a term of free classes in one genre of dance.

The Let’s Dance Day is being promoted nationally to try and encourage more people to take up dance, keep fit and become healthier.

Organisers say it has enormous benefits for people living with, or recuperating from, serious medical conditions and is a great way to maintain a strong and healthy body throughout life and into your senior years.
