Talented saxophonist takes the stage in Appledore with local jazz band

A local band led by bass player Michael Wright and featuring saxophonist Emanuel Segun Atyobi will be next up at North Devon Jazz Club in The Beaver, Appledore this Monday (December 8).

Emanuel was born in Nigeria and has now made his home in North Devon where he has become well-known through his performances in all kinds of contexts and with a variety of musicians on the local scene.

During a career marked by collaborations with a plethora of internationally acclaimed artists, Emmanuel has also made a significant impact on the global music scene.

He has shared the stage with Grammy Award winner Kirk Whalum, Burna Boy, Gerald Albright, Najee, Joss Stone, Kurt Carr, Roy Hargrove, Fourplay, Courtney Pine, Hugh Masekela and many others, showcasing his versatility and virtuosity.

At The Beaver gig, the quartet will be playing an exciting programme of jazz funk and fusion and will throw in to the mix a few seasonal numbers.
