Shopping village Affinity Devon is bringing festive magic to North Devon this year with the launch of its brand new free ice rink, the centrepiece of its Christmas 2025 celebrations.
Opening on Thursday, December 11 and running until Sunday, December 21, the rink has sessions available daily and special late-night skating on Thursday, December 11 and 18.
This addition headlines a festive programme running throughout November and December at the Clovelly Road shopping outlet near Bideford.

Affinity Devon’s Christmas calendar offers something for everyone — from creative workshops and local markets to enchanting entertainment and meet-and-greets with beloved festive characters.
Last weekend families got to meet the Grinch and Santa as well as enjoy the Elf Workshop and Santa returns next Sunday, December 7 when he arrives on his sleigh to spread Christmas cheer across the centre.
In December, Affinity Devon will host Thursday Christmas markets alongside late-night shopping evenings on December 4, 11 and 18.
Local suppliers will showcase handmade gifts, seasonal treats and crafts while the stores stay open until 8pm. Shoppers can also enjoy live music from local school choirs and musicians, as well as the return of the popular Santa Stamp Card, giving customers the chance to win a £50 Next Gift Card each week.
Visitors can enjoy a free indoor Snow Globe Experience on Saturday, December 6, where families can step inside a giant snow globe for a picture-perfect winter photo moment. The celebrations continue with Christmas Farmers Food and Craft Markets this weekend (November 29 and 30) and again from December 19 to 23, showcasing the best of local produce, gifts and artisan crafts.
