Standfirst: From a Halloween-themed display to lasers, drones and on Bonfire Night itself, we’ve pulled together a roundup of 13 Guy Fawkes Night-inspired events across North Devon and Torridge
A raft of organised firework displays are scheduled across North Devon and Torridge to mark Bonfire Night 2026 – with laser and drone shows also available as an alternative to traditional fireworks.
Why not avoid the expense and stay safe by attending an organised event in the days and weeks ahead? Many of the local events are organised by volunteers and will be raising money for good causes too.
Ilfracombe kicks firework season off a little early with its Halloween-themed display this week (Friday, October 30) but as well as long-running North Devon displays such as Barnstaple Round Table and Woolacombe Fireworks, Kingsley Devon school in Bideford has a laser show as an alternative while Golden Coast Holiday Park at Woolacombe will be staging a drone show.
We have pulled together a list of 13 local events for you and with November 5 falling on a Thursday this year, organisers have spread their events across the weekends either side – Saturday, November 7 is the busiest with five to choose from.
If we have missed your event, please email [email protected] or message our Facebook page and we’ll be happy to add it to the online listing.

Young musicians open the bill, with Woolacombe school's band Explosion and Ilfracombe Academy's Indecisive, before crowd favourites The Yum Yums headline. Kingsley School has swapped fireworks for lasers, flame effects and music, with no smoke, no debris and no bangs. Last year's show sold out.

It brings theatre and music experiences to young people aged 13 to 25 facing cancer or other life-limiting illnesses. The show closes with Sparkle, a song Tabitha co-wrote with local artist Yazzy.
New this year are light-up wristbands that sync with the show, plus a bouncy castle and face painting. There's street food on the field and an indoor café run by the school's PTA.
