Rowcroft Hospice’s Sleep Walk to return to Torbay in 2026

One of South Devon’s most popular charity events is set to return this summer, as Rowcroft Hospice announces the comeback of its Sleep Walk fundraiser for 2026.

The event, sponsored by Majestic Tours, will take place on Saturday 20 June 2026 from 6pm, marking the first time the walk has been held since 2022. Super Early Bird tickets are now available from £17 for a limited time.

The much-loved nighttime walk will see participants take on a new eight-mile coastal route through Torquay and Paignton, raising funds to support Rowcroft’s specialist end-of-life care for patients and families across South Devon.

Walkers will start and finish at the Riviera International Centre, where entertainment group Bingo Bangers will lead a warm-up session featuring 80s and 90s music and prize giveaways.

Taking place on the summer solstice - the longest day of the year - organisers say the event offers a chance for participants to walk the coastline while watching the sunset.

Midway through the route at Roundham Head, walkers will take part in the Lights of Love remembrance, lighting LED candles in memory of loved ones.

The walk will then continue to Cantina Goodrington, where participants will receive a mocktail and sweet treat before heading back to the finish line. Celebrations will conclude with music, podium photos, bacon rolls and a Sleep Walk memento, with festivities continuing at Cantina Torquay.

Tickets will be released in tiers, with a limited Super Early Bird rate available until 17 March 2026 at £17 per adult and £10 per child aged eight and over. Participants who sign up before this date will secure the lowest price and receive a free Sleep Walk T-shirt.

Anyone registering before 11 May 2026 will also receive a T-shirt, although ticket prices will increase as later ticket tiers are released.

While ticket sales cover the cost of staging the event, Rowcroft Hospice is encouraging participants to raise or donate at least £50 to help ensure local families continue to receive compassionate end-of-life care.
