Exeter Taekwondo star claims double Gold at British Championships

Rising taekwondo star Laila Middleton has once again made her mark on the national stage, winning Double Gold at the 2025 Taekwondo British Championships.

The latest triumph adds to an already remarkable year for the young athlete, who was also crowned World Champion in 2025, cementing her status as one of Britain’s most promising talents in the sport.

Laila’s taekwondo journey began at the age of five, when she first started training at ECC. She now represents Exeter Eagles Taekwondo, where her dedication, discipline and commitment continue to deliver outstanding results.

With her sights set firmly on the future, Laila is now seeking sponsorship support to help fund her next major challenge — the European Championships in Switzerland this March.

Beyond competition success, Laila is passionate about using her achievements to promote taekwondo as a sport that supports both mental and physical wellbeing, hoping to inspire more young people to get involved.
