Bideford Rugby Club enjoyed a weekend full of determination, exciting rugby and encouraging performances across its senior and junior sections, with narrow defeats, cup drama and plenty of reasons to be optimistic for the future.

Youngsters Shine Across the Club

The Under-10s had plenty to celebrate after two Bideford teams took on North Tawton and Okehampton in a three-way fixture, recording comfortable victories in every game. Finley Vogel, debutant Josh Nesbit and Joshua Welton received Player of the Day honours.
Meanwhile, the Under-8s travelled to Woodbury Park for the Bradfords Community Cup. Both the Sharks and Rhinos played five matches, enjoying a day filled with enthusiasm, sportsmanship and plenty of smiles.
A Club to Be Proud Of
While the senior sides were left to reflect on two agonisingly close defeats, the commitment shown throughout the club was clear. From the Chiefs battling against the odds to the younger age groups displaying outstanding teamwork, Bideford Rugby Club continues to demonstrate the spirit, resilience and community values that make grassroots rugby so special.
The dramatic Under-16 cup triumph and the impressive performances of the club's youngest players provide plenty of encouragement for the weeks ahead.
