Let your ‘little horrors’ unleash their imagination this October half term at a wide range of Halloween events for all ages across North Devon.
Devon’s Top Attractions, a not-for-profit organisation to promote local attractions, has pulled together a must see list of spooky events and Halloween fun for everyone from toddlers up to adult scare seekers.

At Quince Honey Farm in South Molton, its annual apple and honey harvest embraces the old traditions of the autumn season – watch the Apple Show, a live demonstration of an apple mill and press with heather honey harvesting too.
Follow the Halloween Trail around the attraction and discover the spooky characters hiding in the Nectar Gardens, plus browse the Pumpkin Patch between Monday, October 27 and Thursday, October 30 to pick your perfect pumpkin, open 10am to 4pm. Find out more at https://quincehoneyfarm.co.uk
The Milky Way near Clovelly presents Halloween Hocus Pocus with lots of spooky fun from Sunday, October 26 until Saturday, November 1 - enrol your little horrors at the special School for Witches and Wizards where they can try spell writing, casting and potion making.

Bump around the Spooky Swamp Dodgems, watch Merlin’s themed show filled with his special brand of spooktacular fun, catch a special storytelling session for little ones and enjoy the atmosphere of The Milky Way all decorated in its Halloween best. Hardened scare-seekers are invited to Descend into Darkness at Watermouth Castle, exploring five twisted zones of immersive horrors. As night falls, the castle becomes a chilling labyrinth of live actors, gore, darkness and jump scares with live actors. New for this year is The Z Factor - an outbreak has brought the undead back to life, can you survive? Suitable for ages 12 years plus.

Discover the secret life of pumpkins this half term – a spooky, hands-on adventure the whole family can get their claws into at RHS Garden Rosemoor in Torrington.

Step into the world of pumpkins and discover amazing seasonal surprises dotted around the garden on a special trail – feast your eyes on a pumpkin banquet and see scarecrows showcasing different veggies used in the past for carving. The Big Sheep near Bideford has plenty of Halloween fun this October, with the Monster Glow Party from Saturday, October 25 to Saturday, November 1, a dazzling day filled with games, prizes, a fancy dress competition, pumpkin carving, giant toasted marshmallows and a glow disco.
The Halloween Toddler Takeover runs on Saturday, October 18 and Sunday 19, as well as on Monday 20, Wednesday 22 and Friday 24.
This gentle but fun event features themed activities including Monsters Ball with Jiggy Wigglers, Barnwood Bears Halloween sessions, arts and crafts, sensory play and rides for all ages. Plus there will be pumpkin patch photo opportunities, thrilling or gentle rides, a spooky spider hunt, Mud Kitchen, pumpkin paintings and Halloween crafts. Visit https://www.thebigsheep.co.uk.

Finally, families are invited to the annual Halloween fun afternoon at Yeo Valley Woodland in Barnstaple from 2 to 4pm. People of all ages can enjoy pumpkin carving, creepy crafts, warming refreshments and a delicious barbecue. Don’t forget to wear your most frightful Halloween outfit for the fancy dress competition!

There is no need to book, just turn up. The community woodland is just off Silverwood Heights in Barnstaple, with visitors asked to park on Derby Road and use the entrance just past Kingdom Hall.
