Spooky family fun returns to Barnstaple just in time for Halloween

Spooky fun returns to Barnstaple on Sunday, October 26 for the annual Halloween family fun fest at Yeo Valley Woodland.

The event runs from 2pm to 4pm and visitors can expect an afternoon packed with seasonal activities and fright-filled entertainment for all ages, including pumpkin carving, creepy crafts, warming refreshments and a delicious barbecue.

Visitors of all ages are encouraged to wear their most frightful Halloween costumes for the fancy dress competition, with fang-tastic prizes to be won.

There will also be an opportunity to get creative with pumpkin carving. Pumpkins will be available for £2.50, with all proceeds going towards the Children’s Summer Club and the Friends of Yeo Valley Community Woodland, helping to support future activities and community projects.

Councillor Ricky Knight, lead member for climate and biodiversity at North Devon Council, said: “Join us at the award-winning Yeo Valley Woodland this Halloween for a magical mix of spooky fun and community spirit.

Yeo Valley Woodland, which holds a prestigious Green Flag award, is located off Silverwood Heights in Barnstaple. There is no parking available at the woodland and visitors are asked to park on Derby Road and use the entrance just past Kingdom Hall.
