Affinity Devon are delighted to be working in partnership with EPIC Events to be hosting monthly Outdoor Food & Craft Markets in their Amphitheatre area.
The first market was held on Sunday 9th April (Easter Sunday) and was a huge success. The market was filled with a wide selection of stalls selling everything from hot foods, groceries and doggie treats to bath products, cakes and clothing. All suppliers were local which was one of the main aims of these markets, and with so many fantastic suppliers to be found in the local area there is no need to go further afield!
Lucy Lowe, from EPIC Events said ‘There is such a fantastic selection of top-quality food, drink and crafts in North Devon, so this is a fantastic opportunity to showcase what the local area has to offer. With the start of the 2023 holiday season fast approaching, now is the time to get involved and show the visitors to the area exactly what we have to offer!’
Affinity Devon’s Marketing & Retail Liaison Manager Nicola Jeffery commented ‘We are excited to be using our fantastic amphitheatre space on a more regular basis and bringing something new to the centre that benefits both customers and our local businesses.
Customers can now combine their trip to a local market with retail therapy as the centre offers up to 60% off RRP on top brands, plus with our fantastic children’s attractions and eateries it’s a great day out for the whole family.
As well as our markets we regularly host free family events throughout the year - more information can be found on our website.’
The next market will be held on Sunday 7th May which is the Kings Coronation Weekend; after this the Markets will be held on the second Sunday of every month. These ‘Craft and Scoff’ Markets will see a host of local food and drink producers, along with a wide array of local crafts people fill the Amphitheatre area of the Shopping Centre outside of World of Wonder.
There is room for 30 traders at each event and spaces are filling up nicely with a fantastic range of local businesses applying to take part. For more information please contact lucyloweevents@outlook.com.
