Nomansland continued their recent good form with an 18-run victory in a low scoring game against Heathcoat in the North Devon Cricket League.

Nomansland skipper Greg Coler chose to bat, and top scored with 39, as his team were bundled out for 132 in 28 overs. Stephen Wass chipped in with 19. Opposition captain Chris Salter used eight bowlers, all of whom took a wicket, Dan and James Pugsley, both took two

Heathcoat were bowled out for 114 in 27 overs. Dan Pugsley top scored for the home side with 33, extras were next highest with 24. Martyn Williams took the bowling honours, taking 4 for 24, and there were 3 wickets for Wass, and a couple for Ed Carter.

In Division 2, Barnstaple & Pilton travelled to Exford, and won emphatically by 145 runs, B&P batted first, and racked up an all-out score of 240. James Roe dominated the innings by scoring a career best 125, he hit 10 sixes, as well as seven fours in his 102-ball stay at the crease.

Finn Tapp and extras both contributed 36. Exford’s Joshua Smith joined Roe in the personal best club, by producing figures of 6 for 48, as well as running out dangerman Tony Gilbert

B&Ps Matt Jarvis took the top four Exford wickets for 34 runs, and there was a couple each for James Stowell, and Dom Chugg, as the home side were bowled out for 95. Ian Whybrow top scored for the Moorlanders with 40.

Victoria Park entertained Ilfracombe at Westward Ho! and won a tight game by two wickets. Batting first, Ilfracombe were all out for 140, Rumitkumar Patel top scored with 42, Parth Rathod, and Graham Garner both scored 20. Rob Guppy, Rob Boundy, George Shapland, and Adrian Scarrett all took two wickets for Park.

Jack Sargeant 27 and Blake Shapland 21 opened for Victoria Park with a stand of 46 but Combe’s Graham Garner with 3 for 29 and Tom Ward 3 for 28 then reduced the home side to 98 for 7. Guppy 14 not out and Scarrett 20 put on 36 to see the Park to victory.
