There is, however, a powerful argument that the amazing angling options in North Devon are the cherry on top of this impressive aqua cake.
North Devon Angling News is a terrific website dedicated to celebrating the anglers, venues and businesses that all play a role in this massive participation sport.
Just over the last few days, the site celebrated the achievements of Rich Parker and his brother Chaz, who enjoyed a tremendous session at Stafford Moor, with carp weighing in at up to 31lbs.
