Get set for a vibrant weekend as the ever-popular Bideford Music Day returns on Saturday (August 16) followed by the Rainbo Colour Run on Sunday (August 17).

With three live music stages running from 11am until late and featuring a huge range of local musicians and performers across many genres, Music Day offers a great day out for all ages.

Organised by music charity the RainBo Music Trust, it also features interactive workshops, stalls, food, a bar and a chance to relax and enjoy some great sounds.

Entry is free although there is a suggested donation of £5 towards the Rainbo Music Trust, which supports local music by purchasing musical equipment, instruments and tuition for local schools, groups or individuals.

Music fans will be spoiled for choice with a line-up that spans genres and generations. Across the Main Stage, Pally Stage and Acoustic Stage, festival goers can enjoy performances from a host of exciting artists including The Clashnikovs, Joe Hutchings, Beckon the Wyrd, Globitribal, and Rocking Robin and the Reliants.

Bideford Music Day offers a wide range of music workshops, open to everyone regardless of experience. From djembe drumming and guitar tasters, to family musical mayhem with Daisy Dave, the day is packed with opportunities to try something new.

Alongside the music and workshops, the park will be filled with local food vendors, craft stalls, and family-friendly attractions, making it an ideal summer day out for visitors of all ages.

On Sunday, Victoria Park hosts the Rainbo Colour Run - a paint-splattered fun run or walk which involves participants completing loops of the park and being covered in all the colours of the rainbow!

Registration is from 11am, with a warm up at 11.45 and the event starts at 12noon. Participants should wear sunglasses and white t-shirts are suggested. The paint is harmless corn starch and dyes.
