Residents in the EX39 5 area of Bideford are being alerted by South West Water about an unplanned water interruption due to a burst main in the network.
Customers may experience lower water pressure than usual or a temporary loss of supply as emergency repairs are carried out.
The water company has assured the community that supplies should be restored within the next three to four hours.
