Atlantic Way, Westward Ho! Credit: Google Earth
The B3236 Atlantic Way in Westward Ho! has been closed in both directions following a police incident earlier today. The closure is in effect from Kingsley Road to Fosketh Hill.
Devon Alert reported the closure on X, formerly Twitter, stating: "B3236 Atlantic Way both ways closed from Kingsley Road to Fosketh Hill due to police incident."

Authorities are advising motorists to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. The nature of the incident has not yet been disclosed.
The Gazette has contacted the police for a response.
Update 12pm:
Devon and Cornwall have said: "Police were called at 7.50am today, Friday 20 September, following a report made to the ambulance service in relation to a patient located with serious injuries in Atlantic Way, Westward Ho!.
"Police officers attended in conjunction with paramedics and remain on scene at this time."
