Emergency services are responding to an incident on Fore Street in Exeter after a car struck a wall, causing the road to be closed to traffic.
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed they are at the scene. No injuries have been reported at this stage.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area and plan alternative routes while officers manage the scene. The road closure is expected to cause disruption in the city centre.
