A BMX prodigy from Barnstaple has continued to dominate the national and British BMX scene, holding champion titles for her age group.

Having started racing at the age of four, Lottie Brown has taken her BMX competitions to European and World Championships, representing Great Britain with unwavering determination.

At the age of just 13, she is the current National and British champion for her age group, represents the local Bideford BMX track, and is proudly part of the Absolute National Elite Team. Looking ahead, she has dreams of qualifying for the British Olympic squad in the following year.

BMX racing is an exciting, sprint based Olympic cycling disciple that requires great fitness, strength, skill and nerve. The race involves eight riders sprinting down a five metre high start hill, attacking a series of different jumps, tight corners and rhythmic sections. It was even the sport that launched Sir Chris Hoy's career.

Lottie's passion for BMXing was first recognised when the family visited a local Bideford track, leading to a cascade of achievements.

Lottie's ultimate dream is Olympic glory, but her immediate focus is on securing a European title at this year's Euro Champs, followed by a world title in Denmark next year. The subsequent aim is to qualify for the British Olympic Squad.

Known as 'Lottie can’t stop won’t stop', she embodies resilience in the high-octane world of BMX racing – an Olympic discipline demanding fitness, strength, skill, and nerve.

Racing since the age of four-and-a-half, Lottie has rapidly progressed over the past eight years, showing more drive and determination than before.

With a rigorous training routine of two to three sessions per week, including regular sessions across the South West region and Manchester, Lottie is committed to her craft.

The Brown family travels extensively for competitions, showcasing Lottie's skills on regional, national, European, and world stages.

Over the years, Lottie has amassed numerous titles, which showcased her determination by competing in higher age groups and against male counterparts. Representing Great Britain at the UCI World Championships in Nantes, France 2022, and Glasgow, Great Britain in 2023, she reached the semi-finals in both competitions, facing off against global female competitors.

In the 2023 season, Lottie's meteoric rise continued, securing the British and national number one spot. Her impressive performance in the UEC BMX European Cup saw her attending eight out of 12 rounds and reaching every final.

At the BMX European Championships, she faced fierce competition against 58 other girls from across Europe, making it to the semi-finals.

As Lottie Brown continues to push her limits, her strong ambition and dedication set the stage for a promising future in the world of BMX racing.
