‘Rat Pack of opera’ joins local choir for North Devon Christmas concert

Join Tenors Unlimited for a festive concert alongside North Devon’s own Dynamix choir at the Landmark Theatre in Ilfracombe on Sunday, December 7.

Tenors Unlimited, the ‘Rat Pack of opera’ will be performing their Christmas show on Sunday, December 7 at the Landmark Theatre in Ilfracombe, with local choir Dynamix.

The 7.30pm concert not only features great songs from opera, but also musical theatre and pop, as well as favourite Christmas carols, so there are plenty of opportunities for members of the audience to sing along.

Tenors Unlimited is the duo of Paul Martin and Jem Sharples, who are back on the road again after a highly successful 18 months captivating audiences both sides of the Atlantic in their UK and USA tours.

They performed worldwide alongside such notables as Sting, Lionel Richie, Katherine Jenkins, Beyoncé, Hayley Westenra, Simply Red and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to name a few.

The Ilfracombe Christmas show will include opera classics such as Nessun Dorma, The Pearl Fisher’s Duet, crooner and pop favourites such as You Raise Me Up and Some Enchanted Evening as well as some of their own material.

Christmas favourites will include O Holy Night, Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and the Tenors’ number 1 selling Christmas single Who Is He?

Dynamix is a well-known local choir set up by Jackie ‘Jax’ Gibbins, who now runs two choirs in Devon.

They have performed at Exeter City Football Stadium, Barnstaple Christmas Lights, recorded a charity single for the Alzheimer’s Society, created their first ever music video and sung at various festivals and weddings.
