Top whines sampled as hit one-man comedy show comes to North Devon

Dry, sardonic and with a hint of Gallic superiority – acclaimed French comedian Marcel Lucont brings his Whine List for Queen’s Theatre audiences to sample this September.

The multi-award-deserving deadpan Frenchman serves up a unique Whine List on Thursday, September 25 as he hears about the audience’s past gripes, moans and misdemeanours, while also dishing out some of his premier erotic poetry.

The show has played to packed audiences all around the world and is a winner of the Best Comedy Show at the Fringe World Awards. Expect louche musings, dry wit and Gallic superiority.

The interactive comedy show see audience members invited to share their past gripes, whines and misdemeanours in matters of work, travel and amorous experiences.

The poker-faced Marcel then serves up his selected whines of the night, which he discusses with each contributor, getting to the heart (and humour) of each story, with a swig of wine and plenty of ad-libbing in between.

The comedian has featured on TV including Live at the Comedy Store on Comedy Central and The John Bishop Show on BBC1.

The Queen’s Theatre show will be recorded for the forthcoming Whine List podcast and those who wish to participate in the show are asked to arrive 30 minutes before show time.
