Dancers from across North Devon displayed their passion for dance as they lit up the stage for Barnstaple-based Unlimited Dance Company’s (UDC) 19th annual Make It Happen show.
The show was a celebration of talent, creativity and community spirit, captivating full audiences across three spectacular performances at Devon Hall on the Bideford College campus.
Nearly 40 dance routines, choreographed and performed by the passionate dancers and dedicated teachers of UDC, filled the stage with a dynamic mix of ballet, lyrical, street and tap.

Featuring dancers as young as three, who stole the hearts of the audience, with their Moana and Shrek themed numbers, to elegant ballerinas dancing en pointe, a high energy contemporary tap routine set to Usher’s Yeah! and powerful street dance performances bursting with attitude and precision, the variety and standard was outstanding.
The show culminated with routines from UDC’s elite dancers, including this year’s SOAR British Dance Champions, whose slick, polished choreography left the audience in awe.
Principal and owner of UDC, Sarah Clements, praised the phenomenal effort from every dancer, teacher and supporter.
She said: “This year’s show was nothing short of incredible. From our tiniest dancers taking their very first steps on stage, to our experienced champions performing with such skill and passion, it’s a joy to see how far our UDC family has come.
“A huge thank you to our amazing teaching team, the backstage crew, families and of course, every single dancer. You’ve made us all so proud.”

This summer, the school is celebrating a major milestone with the opening of a fourth studio at its Mill Road headquarters in Barnstaple.
UDC will also begin teaching weekly Friday classes in Braunton from September, taking over the existing Dance Factory programme and welcoming a new community of dancers into the fold.
For the first time, UDC is also offering summer dance classes, giving young performers the chance to keep dancing through the holidays, learn new styles and have fun while staying active. These can be booked via UDC’s website.
“We’re passionate about creating opportunities for every dancer, whether they want to dance for fun or pursue it at the highest level,” added Sarah.
“This is a celebration of our local talent and of the bright future ahead for UDC.”
