Barnstaple’s Unlimited Dance Company (UDC) is celebrating an incredible achievement as they have once again been crowned British Champions at the prestigious SOAR British Championships, held earlier this month at the BEC Manchester.
UDC’s continued excellence in dance was on full display as its teams and individuals dominated the street dance competition, building on success from last year.
The Sorority team were named over 17s Novice British Champions, while the Serenity team claimed victory in the over 17s Intermediate British Championships.
There were also British Championship titles for Ellie and Charlie, taking the Duo title, Georgie, Bella, Evie and Kiah winning the Quads competition and Kiah was also named over 15s Advanced Set Dance Hip Hop Champion.
UDC also earned eight more placings across various categories.
Sarah Clements, principal and owner of UDC, said: “We are beyond thrilled to have retained our British Champion titles once again. It’s a testament to the dedication, passion, and hard work of all our dancers and teachers.
“To see our students, from our competitive teams to our solo performers, shining at the highest level is an absolute joy. These achievements highlight not only their talent but also the strength of our supportive community here at UDC. We couldn’t be prouder.”
The achievement follows another year of continued success, with UDC's dancers excelling across a wide range of disciplines including ballet, street dance, lyrical, tap and musical theatre.
