Here are the main locations likely to affect journeys.
A38 Manadon to St Budeaux
Overnight resurfacing work is continuing between Manadon and St Budeaux in Plymouth until April 27.
Westbound closures are in place on weeknights between 8pm and 6am, with diversions via the A386 and local roads.
An additional eastbound closure is scheduled for April 27 for survey work.
Drivers are being advised to allow extra time, particularly during evening journeys.
A30 Rawridge Hill near Honiton
Essential groundworks on the A30 at Rawridge Hill are ongoing until April 26.
A 24-hour eastbound lane closure remains in place, controlled by temporary traffic signals.
In addition, overnight closures (8pm to 6am, Monday to Saturday) are affecting traffic between Honiton and the A30/A303 junction.
Diversions are in place via the A35, A358 and A303, which could significantly increase journey times.
A38 night works and lane closures
Across the wider A38 route, overnight maintenance including road marking and stud replacement is continuing into spring.
This includes lane closures, convoy systems and temporary traffic lights between 8pm and 6am on weekdays.
National Highways has warned that delays are likely and drivers should plan ahead.
Stoketon Cross near Saltash
Long-running works at Stoketon Cross, near Saltash, remain in place as part of a housing development.
Traffic management is in operation while a new roundabout and access roads are constructed, with works expected to continue into spring.
Plymouth city roadworks
Multiple roadworks across Plymouth are also adding pressure to the network.
From April 14 onwards, several overnight resurfacing schemes are taking place, including closures on Alexandra Road and Lipson Road.
There are also rolling closures, temporary traffic lights and daytime roadworks affecting routes across the city, including Mutley Plain, Tavistock Road and Beaumont Road.
Some schemes, including gas works and junction improvements, are expected to continue into May.
Planning ahead
National Highways has warned that closures can change at short notice due to weather or operational reasons.
Drivers are advised to check travel updates before setting off and allow extra time, especially when travelling overnight or during peak periods.
With multiple schemes running at the same time, key routes around Dartmoor and Plymouth are likely to remain busy throughout April.
