Entries are now officially open for the Torbay Business Awards 2026 and businesses across the Bay are being encouraged to get involved, whether by entering themselves or nominating someone else.

The annual awards, organised by Torbay Weekly, celebrate the very best of local business life, recognising organisations and individuals who go above and beyond across Torbay.

This is how you enter: businesses and individuals can submit their own application directly through the official awards website. But if your business is busy, unsure where to start, or has been nominated by someone else, you don’t have to do it alone.

The Torbay Weekly team will support businesses through the process, helping to turn a nomination into a full entry and ensuring applicants have the best possible chance of putting themselves forward successfully.

Nominations for others are open until April 19, while self-nominations and full applications close on April 24.

Organisers say the awards are designed to be as accessible as possible, making sure that both large organisations and small independent businesses have the opportunity to take part.

Torbay Weekly editor Jim Parker said: “Entries are coming in fast and there are already lots of fantastic success stories emerging. What always stands out is the sheer variety of businesses and individuals doing incredible things across Torbay, from start-ups through to long-established organisations making a real difference in their communities.”

The awards have grown significantly since launching in the wake of the pandemic, becoming one of the most uplifting highlights in the local business calendar.

Finalists will be selected across a wide range of categories, recognising everything from innovation and sustainability to leadership, customer service and community impact.

Winners will be announced at a gala awards evening at the Riviera International Centre on June 5, where hundreds of business leaders, sponsors and guests are expected to attend. Last year’s ceremony saw around 350 people gather to celebrate success across the Bay.

Organisers say the message is simple: don’t miss out.

Whether you enter yourself or nominate someone else, this is your chance to put outstanding local businesses in the spotlight.
