Hundreds of children and their families attended a free New Year’s Eve celebration at Bideford Pannier Market.
Held earlier in the day, the event provided a safe, inclusive and lively way for families to celebrate ahead of the evening’s New Year festivities.
There was a packed programme of activities, including arts and crafts, games, a disco, interactive circus workshops and a fancy dress competition, alongside snacks and drinks.

The day included a special midday countdown, allowing younger children to take part in the excitement of welcoming in the new year without having to stay up late.
The event was made possible through funding help from Asda Bideford, Bideford Town Council, the Bideford Bridge Trust and Devon County Council’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) scheme.
Organisers thanked all partners for their support in delivering a free community event for local families.
