WATCH: End of an era as well-loved Tavistock brewery closes its doors

Independent brewery The Stannary Brewing Co. announced the end of its Tavistock venue, describing an emotional final weekend while confirming plans to brew again

A popular independent brewery in Tavistock has closed its taproom doors.

As previously reported by The Moorlander, the Stannary Brewing Company shared an emotional message, calling it “a final cheers from the three of us.”

Owners described the final weekend as “one of the hardest and saddest times,” marking the end of a 10-year chapter.

They said the brewery had become more than just a business, it was a community they called their “Stannary family.”

Despite the closure, brewing will continue from next week, with plans to find a new venue and reopen a taproom.

In their final words, they told supporters: “This chapter has closed… but the story isn’t finished. Watch this space.”
