The most top grades ever achieved have helped Kingsley School at Bideford celebrate a record-breaking A Level results day.

The school has seen the most A* and A grades ever from students and says the results improved even further on last year’s excellent tally.

Across the board, subjects such as history, English, modern foreign languages (MFL), art and photography produced A* to B grades for 95% of students, with the vast majority now able to access their first choice university destinations.

Outstanding individual performances included Alfie, who achieved four straight A* grades and is heading to Warwick University to read pure mathematics.

Alvin gained three straight As to study aerospace engineering at Bristol; Ari had an A* and two As and is going to UCL for physics; Freddie earned two Distinction* grades to join BIMM Music Institute at Bristol for music performance and Kate, who gained an A*, A and two Bs.

The school said it was also celebrating Zach, whose resilience and perseverance have earned him a place at Marjon to study sport business management and Grace who achieved an A plus two Bs and takes up her place to study paramedic science in Bristol.

Kingsley headteacher Robert Pavis said: “These are incredible results on what has been a relatively short journey to drive academic outcomes upwards, supported by significant investment in the academic side of the school over the last three years.

“They reflect the dedication of our staff and the determination of our students. I look forward to hearing about all the future successes of our class of 2025!”
