Barnstaple Round Table is pleased to announce that the Santa Sleigh is coming back to Barnstaple this Christmas season starting on Saturday, December 3, through to Wednesday, December 21, covering more nights and with a new route in Chivenor.
Planning has been underway for many months for this year’s Santa Sleigh, and the club hopes to support more charities and interest groups.
Andrew Ridley, Chairman of Barnstaple Round Table said: “We are pleased to be back again this year with the Santa Sleigh as it brings so much joy to everyone that sees it over the festive season. This year we have added the Chivenor area to the route after being asked by residents for many years.”
Last year the Santa Sleigh raised over £11,000 for local charities and interest groups and the club hopes to beat this total for this year.
The dates and routes are listed below. For more information go to the Barnstaple Round Table Facebook page – facebook.com/barnstapleroundtable.
Andrew added: "It would be very difficult to put the Santa Sleigh on for so many nights without help and support from charities and groups including; Encompass South West, Care for Kids, North Devon Hospice, Fremington Youth Football Club, Chemo Hero, North Devon Hockey Club, Children’s Hospice South West, Barnstaple Rugby to name a few.
"I would also like to thank local businesses for their help and support including Adam May and his team at Barnstaple Nissan for the loan of their new e-Power Nissan Ex-Trail, Harland and Wolff for storage of the sleigh, Blue Orange for helping to maintain the sleigh and providing expert signage, Taw Ford for sponsoring Santa’s Sleigh juice for both vehicle and the generators, The Voice for promoting the Santa Sleigh on the radio across Barnstaple and North Devon, Simon Randall from the Storage Space for the storage of the Santa Sleigh.
"Finally I would also like to thank all bucket collectors and members of Barnstaple Round Table who venture out in all weathers through the sleigh season."
With just over one weeks until the first Santa Sleigh evening, please go out and support the round table team and the many bucket collectors and beat the £11,000 total from last year’s festive season.
