The Plough Arts Centre in Torrington has a brilliant and varied programme of events for Families to enjoy as we approach Christmas.

After the success of last year’s Rhia and the Tree of Lights, Quirk Theatre return with the heart-warming story of Mary: The Pigeon Who Never Gave Up. Visually beautiful, heartfelt and uproariously funny, they tell the astonishing and true story of one very special pigeon who flew top secret messages home from France in World War Two. Perfect for KS1 & KS2 and all the family this festive season. Tickets are expected to fly, so get booking now for this magical show which lands on 30 Nov (until 3 Dec, with 7 performances).

Honk, Splash and TaWit-TaWoo will be teaching The Naughty Fox a very important lesson: it's better to share. The Naughty Fox is for early years (0-5yrs - and their grown-ups!) and those with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD - please contact Box Office to book for these performances). Feel your way through an immersive, multi-sensory journey of friendship and play that is fully accessible and relaxed. Experience a world of puppetry, music, light projection and bubbly energy as our two storytellers bring household objects to life. The show integrates creative captions for deaf and hard of hearing audience members.

The Escape Room fun continues with Ghost’s Secret at ThePlough@StAnne’s, Barnstaple between Sun 18 Dec and Wed 21 Dec. You'll have 1 hour to explore this Cluedo inspired Whodunnit Kids escape room. Enjoy the dress up box and Christmas light projections but don't forget to solve the story trail in time to make your escape and claim your winner's prize! Pre-booking essential. Fun for all the family (for up to groups of 12).

Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical (PG) will be have multiple screenings from Sat 17 Dec to Thurs 22 Dec. Before (or after) the movie, why not take advantage of a £1 Kid’s Meal Deal (with any full paying adult). All event tickets can be purchased via www.theploughartscentre.org.uk or via the Box Office on 01805 624624
