THE Barnstaple Velvet Theatre Company is hosting a themed Murder Mystery Dinner at Trimstone Manor Country House Hotel, near Ilfracombe, on February 27.

Lady Barbara Plympton will welcome guests back to the 1920s when elegance was the order of the day.

Guests will not be required to wear period clothing, although this would be preferable.

This should be an evening not to be missed by those who consider themselves the equal of Poirot, Christie or even Morse.

There is a prize to be won by the guest who solves the mystery - perhaps by the second course?

All money raised will go to the Barnstaple Stroke Support charity.

Tickets cost 35, including the cost of a three-course meal, from theatreboxoffice@ndevon.ac.uk or by phone on (01271) 338138.

The mystery evening will begin at 7pm.
