Celebrations at Devon Tennis Awards
The Devon Tennis Awards 2026 were held at Exeter Golf & Country Club, bringing together members of the county’s tennis and padel community for an evening of celebration and recognition.
Generously sponsored by WBW Solicitors, the event honoured the outstanding achievements of clubs, coaches, volunteers, players and teams whose dedication continues to raise the profile of tennis and padel across Devon.
Devon Tennis Chairman Max Goodison opened the evening by welcoming guests and outlining the organisation’s strategy and objectives for 2026 and beyond. Performance Manager Will McNally then highlighted key successes from 2025, while Sharon Heeley, LTA Head of Delivery for the South and South West, shared insights into national and regional development projects and their positive outcomes.
Following a buffet supper, Honorary President David Vinall presented the awards, recognising nominees and winners for their commitment, passion and positive impact on the sport. The ceremony provided a fitting tribute to excellence, participation and enjoyment across the county.
A highlight of the evening was the awarding of County Colours to the Devon Ladies 75s team, in recognition of their national victory in the County Cup Competition. The team defeated Middlesex, Surrey, Warwickshire, Kent and Suffolk during the summer, before securing the title in the final against the winners of the Northern section in Southampton in autumn 2025.
