Congratulations and good luck to Shannon Griffiths and Tillie Baker from Braunton Target Shooting Club, who are representing Great Britain at the European Junior 10m Air Rifle and Air Pistol Championships held at Burgas in Bulgaria this coming week.

Tille is taking part in the U18 Air Pistol and Shannon in the U16 Air Rifle.  This is the next step up after competing in the Luxembourg International Championships in December as part of the British Shooting Development squad and the Peninsula UK regional squad.

The competition consists of 60 shots standing in 115 minutes on electronic targets followed by a final of the top 8.

Braunton has recently acquired two additional Sports Quantum electronic targets to allow its members to compete on the same terms as they would at National and international competition.

It is hoped to acquire more of these in the future if funding can be found. These are already being put to good use with Braunton the sole UK club, taking part in the European Club Air competition alongside target clubs from across Europe.
