Rocky Grigg
Two champions collided as Bideford’s Rocky Grigg met Intense ABC Beau Harding in the England Boxing Youth Championships.
A highly anticipated contest between two talented young boxers with a combined record of 35 bouts and only two losses between them.
Right from the start it was a mix of styles, Grigg stalking his opponent who was happy to box on the back foot with both having moments of success. In the second, Grigg began to take over in a round of dominance as Harding found himself with his back to the ropes with flurries raining in on him.
It was much of the same in the last Grigg proved the aggressor on the front foot as Harding tried to nick one shot and dance out of trouble. The judges were split of opinions at the end as they favoured Harding’s work.
