Braunton's Steve Moore
All good things must come to an end, but the legacy of Steve Moore at Braunton Cricket Club will live a long time in the memory.
A prolific wicket-taker, Moore is moving on to a new challenge and the club he made his own have paid a warm tribute to the man with an electric arm.
Braunton CC said: “As many of you may already know, Steve Moore has decided to part ways with us. After amassing over 500 Devon League wickets for Braunton, we want to say a huge thank you for all the time, effort, and dedication he’s given to the club over the years.
“Steve has been a massive part of Braunton Cricket Club — both on and off the field — and he’ll be greatly missed by everyone here. We wish him all the best in the next chapter of his cricketing journey (probably another 10 years yet, knowing Steve!
“Thanks for everything, mate!”
At the other end of a cricketing journey, it is huge congratulations to Iszi B from West Buckland School, who has been selected for the Devon Cricket Under-13 Girls County Age Group Winter Training Programme for 2025/26.
After impressing during two Devon Pathway fixtures in the summer, Iszi was selected for the squad and in a testament to her fantastic attitude, alongside the obvious talent, the West Buckland student has been chosen as a Devon Girls’ Cricket Ambassador. Congratulations Iszi!
