Preparing for the Bideford 10-miler

Billed as a serious contender to be the fastest 10-miler in the county will take place in North Devon on Sunday, November 2.

The Bideford 10-miler starts and finishes close to the Bideford Amateur Athletic Club clubhouse and follows a fabulously scenic and speedy course past the Taw and Torridge estuary. The course takes runners out on to the road and returns on the famous Tarka Trail.

It is the moderately flat nature of the course that makes the Bideford 10-miler such a rapid race and it all happens in support of the fantastic work taking place at North Devon Hospice.

A section of Kingsley Road, the Quay and Bideford’s Long Bridge will be closed to traffic for the race start at around 10.30am, and drivers are urged to take extra care on the B3233 towards Instow, along Instow seafront and the B3233 to West Yelland.
