North Devon clubs learn their fixture schedules

We are reaching the point in the summer where football clubs are almost back for pre-season and fixtures schedules are being released for the new campaign.

The likes of Plymouth Argyle and Exeter will learn their 2025/26 plans on Thursday, June 26, while Torquay United have to wait until Wednesday, July 9 for the National League fixtures to be released.

Southern League clubs, including Bideford, will be given their schedules in early July, but the Western League fixtures have been released to clubs, and Barnstaple Town will publish their plans once the FA Cup and FA Vase draws have been made.

The South West Peninsula League has released their fixtures for 2025/26 and Ilfracombe Town, relegated from the Western League last season, open their campaign with a visit from Teignmouth on Saturday, August 2.

The Bluebirds then travel to Crediton United on August 5 before games with Middlezoy Rovers (H), a local derby at home to Torridgeside on August 12 and then a trip to Axminster Town.  

Torridgeside welcome Ilminster Town on the opening weekend and then a tough home game against Okehampton Argyle. The T-Siders next travel to Bovey Tracey before their short journey to Ilfracombe.

Torrington are away to Axminster on day one before welcoming Teignmouth on August 9. Next on the list is Middlezoy Rovers (A) and Okehampton Argyle (H). The traditional Boxing Day fixture will see Torridgeside host Torrington, while Ilfracombe welcome Okehampton the following day.

The North Devon Football League has released their provisional constitution for next season, with a total of 38 teams set to do battle across three divisions. Boca Seniors and Fremington have moved up to the Devon Football League, while Torridgeside 3rds and South Molton 2nds are new clubs in the NDFL.

The Premier Division will comprise Holsworthy 2nds, AFC Dumnonii, Landkey Town, Shamwickshire Rovers, Appledore Lions, Torridgeside 2nds, Braunton, Hartland AFC, Boca Seniors 2nds, Fremington 2nds, Morwenstow, Woolsery and Combe Matin.

The Senior Division includes Braunton 2nds, Bideford AFC 2nds, AFC Dumnonii 2nds, Shebbear United, Lynton, South Molton, Merton, Shamwickshire Rovers 2nds, Bradworthy, Combe Martin 2nds, Georgeham & Croyde Rovers and Kingsley Park.

The Intermediate Division comprises Braunton 3rds, Putford, Kingsley Wizards, Sandymere Blues, Langtree Lions, Holsworthy 3rds, Equalizers, Hartland AFC 2nds, Morwenstow 2nds, High Bickington, Northam Lions, Torridgeside 3rds and South Molton 2nds.

The NDFL will return to a promotion / relegation format of three up, three down this season.
