Crowds up at Newton Races

The fine spring weather is having a superb impact on the early-season meetings at Newton Abbot Racecourse, with crowds up significantly from this time last year.

“It’s been a really encouraging start to the season,” said Newton Races CEO John Baker. “We have been lucky with the weather so far and obviously hope that can continue.

“There has been a real buzz about the place and we couldn’t be more pleased with how the season has started.”

On May 28 at Newton Races, Clear Sky Publishing is proud to introduce A Question of Racing, sponsored by Wollens. Based on the TV show, sporting celebrities will test their knowledge in front of a live audience.

Our first confirmed contestant is acclaimed trainer Johnson White, who alongside Phillip Hobbs, has enjoyed amazing success on courses across the country. More celebrities to be revealed next week…
