Impressive victory for Bideford boxer

Freddie Lannon from Bideford Boxing Club competed on the Blue Flames show against Jay Mulcare from the host club.

It was a slow start as both boxers felt each other out. In the second, the pace went up as Lannon repeatedly scored with strong southpaw left crosses. Lannon kept momentum going into the last round, trapping Mulcare on the ropes as he rallied away to the head and body to get the points win.

Billy Stanbury gets another shot on a big stage, Goodwin Boxings Boxmania show at York Hall Bethnal Green on March 15. The show features five title fights, topped by Linus Udofias English Middleweight Title defence.

Stanbury will be moving up in rounds and level of opposition, as he approaches his first 10-round contest. For tickets, phone Billy on 07397 007456.
