Barnstaple Chiefs hosting Bideford Chiefs
Pottington Road will host a festival of Christmas rugby as Bideford Chiefs head to Barnstaple Chiefs for the traditional Boxing derby in North Devon – kick-off 2pm.
A welcome respite from league pressures, Barum enjoyed their Christmas lunch after recording a 17-40 win at Chew Valley to pinch top spot in the Regional 1 Tribute SW Division, displacing Exmouth, who visit Pottington Road on January 4.
Bideford will also be feeling the festive cheer after finally getting a win on the board in the Counties 1 Tribute Western West, trouncing Tavistock 29-0 four days before Christmas, thanks to tries from Zack Powell, Cameron Valley, Nick Bone, Harry Meers and Harry Bloodworth.
There is another derby back in Bideford, where the Quins host Barum Athletic with an 11am kick-off.
Fans will have free entry at Brimlands, where Ilfracombe RFC First XV take on Ilfracombe Vets in another festive feast of rugby, kick-off is 2pm.
