Murphy marvels in Dorset boxing win

Chloe Murphy from Bideford Boxing Club put in an energetic performance in Weymouth against Alayna Ward from the host club.

Murphy trapped Ward on the ropes early, landing clean body shots. In the second, the pace stayed high and Ward struggled to stay with it as Murphy landed combination after combination.

In the, last the onslaught continued, Murphy showing good speed and power to dominate all three rounds and take a unanimous decision win.

Pete Fitzgerald boxed on the same show against Titchfield’s Harvey Andrews. Although Fitzgerald was competitive throughout, Andrews had a better punch output to take the unanimous win.

Bideford Professional boxers Aaron Bird and Harley Griffiths unfortunately missed out on their most recent bouts as the show was cancelled on the day in Swansea. Both boxers will be in action early again in the new year.
