Rising stars of North Devon gymnastics take Bath plunge

The gymnasts from North Devon Display Gymnastics Club certainly made an impression when they attended the Baskervilles Rising Stars Gymnastics Competition in Bath.

The atmosphere was electric, with organisers complementing the North Devon supporters for having the loudest cheers of the competition.

With all this support behind them, the girls sprang into action, delivering fabulous routines in age categories from under 9 to under 13. Representing North Devon, they competed on floor, vault and trampette, collecting a huge medal and trophy haul on all three pieces.

Although competing individually, the sense of team spirit was great, and as the medals were awarded the girls were thrilled for each other.

Coaches Jayne Poole, Vickie White and Liz Miller agreed the competition was a great success and they were very proud of the effort and achievements of all the gymnasts, some of them competing for the first time.
