Latest from the North Devon Football League

Bottom club Braunton put up a brave display before succumbing to a 5-0 defeat at North Devon Football League leaders Boca Seniors.

A Sam Box brace and further strikes from Ollie Curry, Ricky Marinaro and Kyle Spear proved enough to extend Boca’s winning start to nine straight games in the Premier Division.

Landkey Town lost ground in second place after going down to a 3-0 defeat at Shamwickshire Rovers, while Fremington trounced Appledore 2nds 7-0. Cohen Phillips notched a brace for Fremmy and there were further goals from Kieran Cook, Oliver Fosberry, Miles Macree, Charlie Mock and Hayden Phillips.

Holsworthy 2nds produced an excellent performance to win 3-1 at Appledore Lions, Ben Sharpe, Kieran Jollow and Scott Bingham on target for the Magpies. Substitute Nathan Bate scored the Lions’ consolation.

Braunton 2nds are seven points clear at the top of the Senior Division after a ruthless 11-0 demolition of lowly Northam Lions. Jake Arrowsmith took the main plaudits with five goals, while Logan Warren banged in a double and there were more goals from Dylan Evans, Callum Mustard, Alex Symcox and Kieron Goswell. Woolsery are in second following their 6-2 success at Fremington 2nds.
