Tony Kwiecien and Rhys Eyles being presented with the Grater Pairs Trophy
Reflections on a great season on the greens
As the current season draws to a close, Victoria Park Bowling Club can reflect on another excellent season.
The ladies team excelled in the County Competition coming a close second to one of the top teams in the country. Tony Kwiecien and Rhys Eyles won a county wide Pairs competition. The club also picked up numerous trophies in other local competitions.
In addition, Victoria Park saw an increase in membership and the new members performed well in County and local competitions.
Barry Howarth, Club Secretary, said: " I believe that our success is down to all our members. We all celebrate any member who wins a match at any level. We value the friendship and good humour as much as the winning. The social side of the club is equally as important as having success on the green. Next season is our 75th anniversary and we would love to welcome new members to experience the great game of bowls.”
