Viccy Park bowlers runners-up in Devon Cup

Victoria Park Ladies Bowls team narrowly missed out in the final of the Devon County Ladies team competition, known as the Grace Matthews Cup. This prestigious competition attracts the top clubs across the whole of Devon. 

The team were beaten 3-2 by Kings Bowling Club, Torquay. Kings are one of the top teams in the country and have international players amongst their membership.  

Barry Howarth, Victoria Park Club Secretary, said: "To reach the final of this competition is a fantastic achievement, both for the ladies, the club and bowling in North Devon.  We want to build on this success and hopefully attract more ladies to bowling at our club or other clubs in North Devon."
