North Devon hosting a football celebration
This Sunday at Appledore FC will be a unique celebration of football, as Appledore Women play West Exe in the FA Cup, kick-off 2pm.
It is every player’s dream to play in the FA Cup and to be able to take part in the world’s most famous club competition is and amazing achievement for any club, but to have teams from North Devon is truly a thing dreams are made of.
This is an opportunity to inspire young girls in the area to get involved, young fan Maisie can't wait to see her favourite player Sarah Short, even buying a club shirt with Sarah number on the back, and this is what it is all about. Maisie’s parents, who own Williams Building Services, have sponsored Sarah for the season.
