Bideford rowers dominate sunny regatta

The Appledore & Instow Regatta attracted 61 entries from around the region for the sixth regatta in the West of England Amateur Rowing Association’s ten regatta Championship series. Held on the river Torridge over a 1000-metre course the entries necessitated 20 events.

On a hot sunny day, conditions on the river were good with just a light chop, and Bideford rowing club produced some outstanding performances on the day.

Next regatta in the Championship series is the re-arranged Paignton Regatta on Saturday, August 10.
