Great results for Bideford Amateur Athletic Club
Martin Colwill from Bideford Amateur Athletic Club flew the flag for the Blues in exceptional style with age category victory in the Crewkerne 10k, finishing in a tremendous time of 39:50.
John Shapland backed up this performance by finishing second in 45.19, Jo Bedlar 3rd female 45.39, Helen Colwill 53.23. Meanwhile, Adrian Purst 37:25, James Jewell 39:03, Gemma Steele 49:49 and Candy Jewell 53:13 represented Bideford in the Kenilworth Two Castles 10k.
On the junior side of the club, a team of young Blues travelled to the Exeter Arena for the Devon Schools Athletics Championships.
Eddie Hill picked up a bronze in the 800m and was 7th in the javelin, Freya Woodhead was runner-up in the 800m and finished first in her 300m heat before deciding not to take her place in the final after a gruelling day.
The other results included Finley Cloak 5th in 3000m with a PB, Lottie Hill 7th in the 800m, Carys Woodhead 1st in her 800m category and joint 1st in the 200m, and Ollie Goldsworthy ran a PB to finish 2nd in the 1500m.
